Leonardo da Vinci was a genius. He didn’t learn in the classroom or by reading books. He learned by observation.

Da Vinci was born in 1452 in Italy, and is probably best known for his painting of the Mona Lisa.

Today I learned that he invented the submarine, designed the healthy city, dissected and drew the human anatomy, and was a vegetarian, among many other things.

I was struck how he was able to see things that no one else could possibly imagine!

There are people today who see and understand the injustices in the world, particularly the illegal occupation of Palestine.

There are people who may understand when they are told about the injustices.

And there are those who simply do not see, and I want to cry.
