Donating blood

Second only to voting, an important civic duty is donating blood.  I regularly donate blood and when I forget, the folks from blood services call me to remind me to come in.  I’m proud to say that I gave blood three days before I left the USA.

That is why I am a little annoyed at these veracious mosquitoes in Cairo.  They actually have the temerity to think they can get another pint from me.  Maybe I should leave my blood donation card out on the table before I go to sleep to inform them that I don’t have anymore to give.  Grrrrr!

A pesky mosquito like the ones that have been drawing my blood every night in Cairo.

This morning I walked to the pharmacy a block from the Cairo hostel to ask the pharmacist for some relief.  All I had to do was show him my ankles with all of the mosquito bites.  He understood immediately and prescribed a cream.

Then I decided to treat myself to some treats and walked a bit further to the bakery.   Yum-yum-yum!

  1. What a information of un-ambiguity and preserveness of valuable familiarity about unpredicted feelings.
